Around 4:00 a.m., you will be picked up from your hotel in Hurghada and transferred in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle to the airport. After a short domestic flight, you will arrive in Cairo, where your German-speaking Egyptologist will warmly welcome you and guide you, along with your small group, through this eventful day.
Your adventure will begin with a tour of Cairo, where you will discover the beating heart of Egypt. As you drive through the city, you will see impressive landmarks such as the famous Tahrir Square, the Cairo Opera House, and the majestic Cairo Tower—giving you your first glimpse of the modern side of this fascinating metropolis.
Next, you will head to the Giza Plateau, where you’ll admire the world-renowned pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos. You’ll have plenty of time to take amazing photos and, optionally, you can explore the interior of one of the pyramids or enjoy a traditional camel ride across the desert. Right next to the pyramids, the mysterious Sphinx awaits, guarding this ancient site for thousands of years.
After these spectacular impressions, you will have lunch at a traditional Egyptian restaurant with a view of the pyramids. Here, you can sample Egyptian specialties and regain energy for the rest of the day.
The next stop will be the National Egyptian Museum, home to one of the world’s largest collections of ancient Egyptian treasures—including the legendary golden funerary mask of Pharaoh Tutankhamun. Alternatively, for an additional fee, you can visit the new Grand Egyptian Museum, which impresses with its unique exhibits.
To conclude the day, you’ll immerse yourself in the colorful crowd of the famous Khan El Khalili bazaar, where you can stroll through narrow alleyways and discover souvenirs, spices, and handmade works of art. Let yourself be enchanted by the unique atmosphere of Cairo!
After this eventful day, you’ll be transferred back to the airport. Following your return flight to Hurghada, you will be picked up and taken back to your hotel.
