Explore with us the city of Thebes, as Luxor was known in ancient Egypt, and discover the history of this UNESCO World Heritage site with your German-speaking guide. You will be picked up from your hotel early in the morning between 4:00 and 5:30 AM and travel in a comfortable, air-conditioned van as part of a small group. You will be picked up from your hotel early in the morning between 4:00 and 5:30 AM and travel in a comfortable, air-conditioned van as part of a small group. During the 160-kilometer drive through the eastern desert, you will experience impressive mountain ranges reminiscent of the Alps around 7:00 AM. Along the way, we will make a short stop in a Bedouin village where you can get a drink and use the restroom. At the end of the desert stretch, the green Nile Valley appears, and you will drive another 60 kilometers on the highway to Luxor.
You will reach Luxor around 10:00 AM and begin your visit at the impressive Karnak Temple complex, the largest temple complex in the world. Known for its impressive hypostyle hall and picturesque sacred lake, this site offers a fascinating insight into ancient Egyptian architecture and history
A buffet lunch included with a different varieties of delicious food driving on the bridge of Luxor after visiting the Karnak temple
An optional tour on the Nile, as Luxor is best seen from the Nile (10 Euros per person).
After lunch, you get to visit the alabaster factory where the real hand made work still taking place
an educational lecture given by one of the guides there. a great chance to see real authentic artifacts
From there you carry on the tour to visit the magnificent tombs of the valley of the kings with great history and mythology related to them
The guests allowed visiting three tombs ,your guide will choose the best opened ones for you
